About Polwatte House
The house was built by the British Army during the British rule in the 1940's as an Officers Mess. The house has history and now has a style all of its own.
While staying in a mixed Sri Lankan / English home, you can experience real Sri Lankan life, while enjoying the benefits of English hosts with tons of local knowledge. We are a family with young children & 3 dogs (the dogs live outside and are not allowed in the house). You can taste the variety of traditional Sri Lankan home cooking, made with fresh ingredients, with a few western dishes thrown in.
Facilities: 2 Double Rooms, 1 Shared Bathroom, Free Wi-Fi, Large Garden, Laundry - available at reasonable rates, Iron & Ironing Board, Parking, Inside Non-Smoking.
